Founded in 2001 by friends Karen and Suzanne, Big Chair began as a summer pop-up on the Mornington Peninsula. The business grew alongside their young families, evolving naturally from its seasonal beginnings into something far beyond what they had imagined. 

Today, the philosophy remains the same, from locally made furniture to objects sourced from established makers, the collection is shaped by an appreciation for natural materials, enduring design and creating spaces that distinctly feel like home.
