Founded on the Mornington Peninsula in 2001 by close friends Karen and Suzanne, Big Chair began with a simple idea - to offer well-made furniture, considered design and genuine personal service.

Over 25 years, the business has grown alongside their families and become part of thousands of homes across the Peninsula and beyond. Today, many of Big Chair’s earliest customers return with the next generation, furnishing homes of their own.

Australian-made furniture remains at the heart of Big Chair, complemented by carefully selected international brands and pieces chosen for their craftsmanship, comfort and longevity.

While the collection has evolved, the approach has remained the same: quality matters, relationships come first, and good furniture should be made to be lived with for years.
