Product Care

Upholstered Furniture

Regular maintenance is required to preserve the condition and appearance of upholstered furniture.

  • Vacuum upholstery regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris.
  • Rotate, reshape and plump seat and back cushions regularly to promote even wear and maintain their appearance.
  • Attend to spills immediately by gently blotting with a clean, absorbent cloth. Avoid rubbing or excessive moisture.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning products or unsuitable fabric treatments.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture, which may cause fading, deterioration or discolouration.

Seat cushions containing feather, fibre or foam will naturally soften and settle with use. Creasing, compression and changes in cushion appearance are expected characteristics of upholstered furniture and do not necessarily constitute manufacturing defects.

Leather Furniture

Leather is a natural material that requires appropriate care to maintain its condition.

  • Clean regularly using a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.
  • Avoid chemical cleaners, solvents and abrasive products unless specifically approved for the leather type.
  • Protect leather from prolonged direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Use only suitable leather care products in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

Natural markings, grain variations, creasing and changes in colour or texture are inherent characteristics of genuine leather. These variations are not considered manufacturing defects.

Timber Furniture

Timber is a natural material that may respond to changes in temperature, humidity and environmental conditions.

  • Clean using a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents and harsh chemicals.
  • Use coasters, placemats and protective surfaces to prevent heat, moisture and surface damage.
  • Avoid placing timber furniture in direct sunlight or close to heating and cooling sources.
  • Do not allow liquids to remain on timber surfaces.

Natural variations in grain, colour, knots and texture are inherent characteristics of timber. Minor movement, expansion, contraction and changes in appearance may occur over time and are not considered defects unless they constitute a failure to meet applicable consumer guarantees.

Metal, Stone & Other Materials

Furniture incorporating metal, marble, stone and other natural materials must be maintained using cleaning methods appropriate to the individual surface.

Avoid abrasive products, harsh chemicals, excessive moisture and prolonged exposure to substances that may cause staining, corrosion or surface damage.

Natural variations, including differences in colour, veining and texture, are inherent to these materials.
